The brother of Sinn Fein president Gerry Adams has been released on bail after denying he sexually abused his daughter.Liam Dominic Adams was arrested when he arrived at Bridewell Garda Station in Dublin city centre
The 54 Year old is suspected of attacking his daughter Aine Tyrell in the 70s and 80s .She waived her right to Anonymity. "Ijust want to say im not guilty" he told police when arrested .In a court hearing Adams said he fled the North of Ireland because of the Press coverage had put him into danger and had harmed his chances of a fair trial . He went on to say that they[ the press ] had treated him in a disgraceful way .Mr Adams went on to say that he would return "but not under these circumstances ". He now faces extradition to the North after Irelands High Court passed a European Arrest Warrent from officers investigating the case on Weds He was due to face charges at a court hearing in Northern Ireland in Nov but he did not show up.
